Tripod axed a bunch of user sites without warning, including various fan sites and anti-Malaysian government groups. Tripod says that the removed sites violated their terms of service, although wouldn't specify how.
What bugs me the most about this case is the failure of Lycos (the parent company) to explain their actions in the slightest.

The Salon article has links to three specific sites, all of which I was just able to reach...
