I think that you are confused. There's no ghostwriter when the article says that its by someone else! The articles written by Cecil Adams are marked as such. The byline on this story is "SDStaff Ken."

I agree, however, that the staff reports aren't nearly as cool as the SD by Cecil.

As further evidence that the S.D. is in decline I noticed that Cecil wrote in this article, "You might be too young to remember when it was necessary to add water to car batteries." For Cecil's information, about 1/3 of car batteries sold still need water added. I really hate the current ghost writer.
