Home web-cam captures burglars in the act

Two Australians hit pay dirt (sort of) with their web cam designed to capture intruders (via a motion sensor) when their house was burgled. The mugshots of the criminals (along with avi movies) have been posted to their web site, Wanted Dead or Alive.

Web cams might end up being a low-cost burglary prevention tool. Who would have ever thought they'd have a non-frivolous, non-sexual use?!?

These guys http://www.atmltd.co.uk/ already sell a product that lets you lash four cameras on a single PC and use it as an alarm system.
