The GeekPress SQL server choked on Friday morning (while we were out of town) for reasons too stupid and embarrassing for me to post here. The deadly problem was easily and permanently fixed the moment we returned home.

I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never again go out of town without full access to my server!

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I just got done repairing the damage done by using ^ for multiply in one of my math formuals instead of * How embarrassing! (I teach math, electronics and computers). Anyway, we just thought the system was trying to conserve power during a "rolling blackout" :-)
