| University of Michigan Professor John Laird believes that one of the best ways to develop human-level artificial intelligence is through computer gaming. One of his projects is an intelligent Quakebot that acts as an opponent to the human player in the Quake game. The bot will try to defeat the human player by anticipating his or her moves and reacting accordingly. |
| It will be especially interesting to see whether a human player can consistently deceive the bot, or whether the bot learns from its past mistakes. |
